On the eve of Christmas, the Ethnic Relations Commission (ERC) paid a visit to the Ivy Hall Memorial Female Senior Citizens Home to spread Christmas cheer by distributing food hampers and personal care products to the residents.
About 12 residents benefited from the gesture which saw Commissioners of the ERC along with staff members distributing the packages at the city home.
Senior Caregiver, Marva Denney stated that the home has been housing seniors since 1976.
Earlier in the week, the ERC made a similar donation to Zabeeda’s Female Home, located at De Kinderen, West Coast Demerara.
