Home Letters Eschewing our divisive baggage of the past
Dear Editor,
The newspaper report that the Private Sector Commission (PSC) is trying to encourage the political parties to take more nationalistic, less narrow-politically motivated initiatives for the development of our country is indeed music to the ears for Guyanese who are tired of bickering and back-biting and truly want to see us working together to address the problems of our nation.
It is a pity to read that the expected response has not been forthcoming.
I am sure I reflect the views of most nationalistic Guyanese that not only the PSC, but all other national groupings including our trade unions, churches and other social groupings should insist that we eschew our divisive baggage of the past and work towards new collaborative approaches for the development of Guyana.
Sincerely,
Nowrang Persaud
