Essequibo Coast family overpowers bandit during robbery

A bandit’s luck ran out on Monday after he was overpowered and nabbed by a family of three at their Lima Sands, Essequibo Coast home.
According to reports, the mother and her two children were confronted by a man that allegedly broke into their “dwelling house” with the intent to commit a crime. However, the family teamed up and nabbed the male intruder.
Meanwhile, Police confirmed that the 38-year-old suspect was caught red-handed by the female and her children inside of their house.
Ranks added that the woman and her two children captured the man, who is believed to have broken into the building with intent to commit a felony. Subsequently, an alarm was raised and he was immediately handed over to the police.
The suspect, who hails from the same community, is currently in Police custody as the probe continues. (G9)
