Ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) in G Division (Essequibo) have arrested a ranger after he was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine.
The discovery was made some time between 15:30h and 16:50h on Wednesday.
According to Police reports, the ranks had conducted a cordon-and-search exercise between Lima and Walton Hall on the Essequibo Coast. During that operation, they unearthed the substance on the 32-year-old ranger of Walton Hall.
He was arrested and taken into custody, where the narcotics was weighed, amounting to 22 grams.
