Attendees of the camp on the first day participated in discussions on how to communicate their thoughts more expressively, the importance of having good self-esteem and the benefits of positive thinking.
Additionally, the youths participated in games and exercises. At the end of the first day the children expressed satisfaction with the camp, describing the sessions as both educational and enjoyable. The will continue today with arts and crafts, more games, and Hindu chants. Then, there will be an interactive discourse facilitated by physiologist Haimraj Hamandeo, which will delve into topical issues affecting society and their possible solutions.
Chairman of the Essequibo Nawjawan, Nandram Prabhu, in his address to the young people urged the youth to take full advantage of their opportunity at the camp, explaining that they were being afforded the chance to ask any burning, pertinent questions about Hinduism.
He went on to impress upon them to spend their recreation time productively, reading positive literature, such as scriptures.
