Essequibo man found dead in rice field

The body of a 51-year-old man was found in a rice field at Andrews Backdam, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
Dead is Motilall (only name), called “Buygee”, of Lima Sands. He was discovered by his brother Haimraj (only name). His family had reported him missing on July 6 and a search was launched. Following the discovery, ranks from G Division (Essequibo Coast-Islands) were summoned and an investigation was launched. Guyana Times was told there were no visible marks of violence on Motilall’s body.
Relatives said the dead man was an alcoholic and was epileptic.
Motilall was taken to the Suddie Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. His body is presently at the Suddie Funeral home awaiting a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
