Thirty-five-year-old Marlon Scott of Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), was in the wee hours of Friday stabbed during an argument with another man.
Police stated that the incident took place at about 03:00h on the day in question at the Onderneeming Sand Pit.

Based on reports gathered, the now injured man and the suspect, who is also of the said village, had a misunderstanding which resulted in a heated argument.
During the spat between the two men, the suspect reportedly whipped out a knife from the waist of his pants and stabbed the victim to his right thumb, right foot and his right-side lower back. At the time of the incident, Scott was in the presence of his sister.
However, after receiving the stab wounds, the man reported collapsed but was picked up and taken to the Suddie Hospital where he was admitted a patient.
The suspect was arrested and is assisting the Police with investigations.
