Everest CC acquires fielding equipment

Friends of Everest Cricket Club in New York, USA answered the call and donated a quantity of sporting equipment to the club during a simple ceremony last Thursday.
Former president, Steven Lewis and longstanding member, Looknauth Persaud initiated the assistance during a recent visit to the Big Apple where friends of the 151-year-old club donated a sidearm, a katchet and a coaching cricket bat.
Persaud who handed over the equipment on behalf of the friends in New York said that the fielding equipment is only the first of several donations. The former executive of the club stated that the intention is to improve every aspect of the club over time and they have started with fielding which Persaud noted is a very critical component of the game.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the club was Coach David Harper stated that the donation is timely and will be used immediately to improve the fielding skills of the club members especially the young ones. Harper thanked the former executive for the assistance and assured him that it will be used for the intended purpose for the betterment of the members and club at large.
