Everest Cricket Club (ECC) and Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) played to a tame draw at Camp Road but it was the home side who walked away with the bigger smile after securing first innings in their Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Noble House Seafood Second Division two-day cricket competition on Sunday.
In response to Everest’s 213, GCC were bowled out for 153 in 65.3 overs with Malcom Persaud, who took 3 for 64 in ECC first innings top-scoring with 51 (6x4s; 1×6) while Timothy Mcalmon 50 (1×4; 1×6) also showed some fight.
Left-arm spinner Dwayne Adams took 3 for 21 from 16 overs while fellow spinner Javed Rasheed snared 2 for 39. Saheed Mohamed who fell for 97 in Everest’s first innings, was handy with the ball, taking 2 for 36.
