A former Policeman was on Tuesday arrested for obtaining money by falsely pretending that he was in a position to assist an individual to obtain a firearm licence.
Arrested fraudster, Paul Watson
Paul Watson of Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo had previously been charged by the Police for matters of a similar nature. At time of this current offence, he was said to be working with a private security firm.
The Police are asking others who may have been defrauded by Watson under similar circumstances to come forward and report the matter to the nearest Police station.
Investigations are ongoing, and charges are expected to be laid shortly.
