An ex-Policeman was on Thursday remanded to prison when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts charged with sexual assault of a three-year-old.
It is alleged that on March 14, 2017, while at Friendship Squatting Area, East Bank Demerara, the 57-year-old sexually penetrated the toddler.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was remanded to prison until February 22, 2018.
