Guyana Karate Federation’s Biennial General Meeting…
The Guyana Karate Federation’s (GKF’s) Biennial General Meeting, held on Sunday February 9th at the YMCA on Thomas Lands, has seen Amir Khouri returned as president and that body’s entire executive membership returned en bloc.

Ivor O’Brian, Honourable Life Member of the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA), presided as returning officer, and the meeting was attended by members of the various affiliated associations as stated: Association do Shotokan Karate – Guyana (ASK-G); International Shotokan Karate Federation-Guyana) (ISKF-Guyana); Guyana Wado Ryu Karate Association (GWKA); National Shito-Ryu Karate Association Guyana (NSKAG); Guyana Karate College (GKC); National Martial Arts Association (NMAA); and Berbice Shotokan Karate Association (BSKA).
The following persons were elected to serve in the Executive for the next two (2) years: President – Amir Khouri; Vice President – Roger Peroune; 2nd Vice President – Keith Beaton; Secretary – Bernice Irving, Treasurer – William Grant; Assistant Secretary/Treasurer – Bhagwandin Persaud.
The President and Executive Members of the Guyana Karate Federation (GKF) take this opportunity to thank Ivor O’Brien for taking time off of his busy schedule to support the Federation and give his generous support in ensuring the smooth running of this election.
