‘F’ Division Commander hosts Christmas party for Bartica kids
As the season of sharing and spreading goodwill beckons, Commander of ‘F’ Division (Bartica/Interior Locations) Ravindranauth Budhram hosted a grand Christmas party for the children of Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni/Mazaruni).

The party was held for the members of the Agatash Youth Group and kept at the Agatash Community Centre. The attendees amounted to some 85 youths with ages ranging between five and 16. During the party, the children were gifted with presents and involved in several activities such as singing Christmas carols.
The event was supported by parents, residents and the business community in Bartica. The Christmas party is part of the ‘F’ Division Christmas plans for youths in the community.
According to Divisional Commander Budhram, this initiative was undertaken as part of efforts to engage youths within the Division in constructive activities. This is in recognition of the fact that youths are the future and special attention needs to be paid to them to ensure they are kept on the right path growing up.
“We have to engage them at an early stage in their life to aid in a safe and healthy environment,” he stated, and added that it was heartwarming to see the excitement and pure joy on the faces of the children.
