Jones added that there is expected to be a delegation from Suriname visiting Guyana to do ‘a final inspection’ of the facilities which is supplemental to an inspection done by the Surinamese Director of Sport, last month.

Based on the inspection by the Surinamese Director of Sport, it was revealed that Guyana’s facilities are ready for play, citing one of the facilities expected to be used, the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, having recently undergone an upgrade.

The goodwill games, which is the rebranded version of the Inter-Guiana games due to the participation of only two nations.
