Farmer kills rancher with bow and arrow

A rancher from Karaudanawa Village, South Rupununi, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo) was on Monday night killed by a farmer, after he was allegedly spotted in the company of the suspect’s wife.
Dead is 32-year-old Pius Ernest, also of Karaudanawa Village. Reports are the incident occurred at about 22:00h when the 50-year-old farmer saw his spouse in the company of Ernest, and without inquiry, he allegedly armed himself with a bow and arrow and shot the rancher. According to Police, one of the arrows hit the upper section of the Earnest’s body, resulting in his death. In February, a farmer of Barima, North West District, Region One (Barima-Waini), was also killed with a bow and arrow. The deceased, Orlando Joseph, was involved in an argument with another male resident when the situation escalated. The suspect armed himself with a bow and arrow and shot the farmer in the upper region of his body.
