A father of two was on Wednesday jailed when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts charged for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
Seon Brammer, a 39-year-old who hails from Eighth Avenue, Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara (EBD) was found guilty of the offence.
The prosecution proved its case that on May 13, 2016, Brammer had 464 grams of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.
According to the prosecution, the drug was concealed under a cushion and plyboards in the house.
The evidence brought against Brammer was deemed sufficient and as such, he was jailed for 48 months by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
