Police have since stated that Reynolds was proceeding west along the Soesdyke Highway when the collision occurred with the pickup, which was heading east. As a result of the head-on collision, Reynolds was trapped in the minibus. Public-spirited citizens managed to free him from the wreckage and rush him, along with another passenger, to the Georgetown Public Hospital. However, Reynolds was pronounced dead on arrival there.
In a social media post on Tuesday, the man’s father, Eion Reynolds, recalled seeing his son’s lifeless body at the hospital.
“At the hospital I viewed my son’s lifeless body with visible blood still on his nostrils and ears, where he had obviously bled. His two feet were crushed, with gaping wounds all the way through the bone, and compound fracture. Persons had to literally pull the front of the bus apart to free him from where he was pinned and bleeding,” the grieving father stated.
The senior Reynolds said his son had just turned 31 last December, and had so much to live for, including his seven-year-old son, who will greatly miss him. He is calling for justice to be served for his child.
“JUSTICE will be served, if it’s the last thing I do!”, the grieving man posted on social media. (G9)
