Father of 2 commits suicide after row with reputed wife

A Timehri, East Bank Demerara (EBD) man took his own life in the wee hours of Sunday following an argument with his reputed wife.
Dead is 29-year-old Andy Bobb, formerly of Foulis Village, West Coast Berbice (WCB), and of Alliance Road, Timehri, EBD.

Based on reports received, on the night in question, the now dead man and a few relatives were imbibing at his home where he lives with his reputed wife and two children.
However, during the drinking spree, his reputed wife reportedly made a statement that angered Bobb thus resulting in an exchange of words. During the argument, the young father of two got up and walked to the back of the yard.
At that time, his relatives thought that he went to “cool” his mind but soon after, he was seen walking out of the yard and went to his mother-in-law’s home.
There, his brother thought that something was amiss since the scent of a known weedicide was high. Upon checking, he realised that the man had ingested the poisonous substance.
Bobb, however, walked back to his house and subsequently collapsed. After raising an alarm, his reputed wife attempted to resuscitate him by breaking eggs into his mouth but was unsuccessful. He succumbed about 20 minutes later.
The police at the Timehri Police Station were contacted but the ranks claimed that they did not have a vehicle to travel to the area. As such, a private vehicle had to be sent to transport the ranks to the scene where one of them pronounced him dead.
At the house later that morning, residents and relatives had gathered and were left in shock. The young man was described as a very quiet person who worked with one of the Fernandes on his poultry farms.
Persons in the area told Guyana Times that arguments between the now dead man and his wife was normal and as such, was surprised that he took his own life on this occasion.
He leaves to mourn his reputed wife, Felicia Borrow, two children, other relatives and friends.
