A father of two is hospitalised after he was reportedly stabbed by his wife during an argument on Saturday evening at their Richmond Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) home.

The injured man has been identified as Ravindra.
The incident occurred at about 18:45h. Based on information received, the couple would usually assault each other after consuming alcohol. However, on Saturday evening, things took a turn for the worst, which saw the woman, who is now on the run, stabbing the man twice to this back.
Prior to the incident, they were seen consuming alcohol with other relatives and friends at their home. The injured man was picked up and taken to the Suddie Regional Hospital where he was admitted a patient.
His condition is listed as stable. The police have launched a manhunt for the woman as investigations co continue.
