FFTP donates birthing, diaper kits to GPHC

Food For The Poor Inc on Wednesday donated over 25 boxes of birthing and diaper kits to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).

Receiving on behalf of the medical facility were Health Minister Dr Frank Anthony, and acting Chief Executive Officer Robbie Rambarran.
Director of Procurement and Fulfilment Food For The Poor FL Inc, Javier Ramirez at the handing over ceremony related that he was happy to collaborate with GPHC in ensuring that Guyanese receive the best healthcare.
Dr Anthony thanked Ramirez while adding that he is extremely grateful for the recent input and partnership and also values the various contributions over the past years.
CEO Rambarran also endorsed the sentiments and expressed his appreciation to Food For The Poor for their continuous support to the GPHC whether by donating, medical equipment, medical and lab supplies, or tokens.
The GPHC continues to receive donations from various organisations, both locally and internationally. Just last week, the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) handed over the second phase of computer gifts to GPHC, making a total of 46 desktops and their corresponding UPS, one laptop, and 15 tablets.
PAHO/WHO’s representative, Dr Janice Woolford, a specialist in children, adolescents, and women’s health, said that PAHO was pleased to partner with the GPHC and the Maternity Ward, especially with the improvement of the health information system in terms of the perinatal data system.
