2015 vehicular death
The trial of the causing death of the Parfaite Harmonie Primary School lad will soon come to a close as evidence in the matter was tendered on Monday at the Wales Magistrate’s Court.
Junior Dey of Lot 18 Second Street, Albertown, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Clive Nurse as the statement was read.
Final statements into the matter are to be taken on August 18 after which Dey will know his fate.
According to reports, on the day of the incident, six-year-old Keith Adams was walking with two friends on the access road heading to school when he was struck by a speeding car.
Dey, driver of car PRR 9325 was arrested following the accident.
Reports are that as the lad was walking along the access road, Dey was proceeding south at a fast rate and lost control of the vehicle thereby hitting the lad. Little Adams was flung into the air after which the car ran over his body.
He reportedly died on the spot qwhile the car skidded and ended up in a nearby trench.
Dey was later charged with causing death by dangerous driving and has been before the court since that time.
