First Lady donates bus, commissions play park to support orphanage, youth development 

First Lady Arya Ali has handed over a bus to Shaheed’s Boys and Girls Orphanage to support the institution’s transportation needs.
According to a post shared on her social media platform, the keys to a Toyota Hiace were officially presented during a simple ceremony held at the Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) ground on Woolford Avenue, Georgetown, on Friday.
The donation was made possible through proceeds raised from the Iftar Cafe initiative at the Ramadan Village. The bus is expected to assist the orphanage by providing reliable transportation for children to attend school and participate in other activities.
In addition to the donation, the First Lady, in collaboration with the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana, also commissioned a new children’s play park at the MYO ground.
The facility is intended to provide a safe space for children to engage in recreational activities and social interaction.
