First Lady donates sanitary napkins to schoolgirls, teacher

First Lady Arya Ali last Monday donated enough sanitary pads to 15 schoolgirls and six female teachers of Sebai Primary School in Port Kaituma, Region One (Barima-Waini).

PTA Secretary Sunita Hutson handed over the Sanitary pads to HM Karen Benjamin in the presence of PTA Chairman Sherlon Rodrigues

On a stopover to Port Kaituma, the First Lady handed over the Sanitary napkins to the school’s Parent-Teachers Association (PTA) Chairman Sherlon Rodrigues, who was joined by Regional Chairman Brentnol Ashley, Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC) Chairman Orlando Thorne, and the Prime Minister’s Representative, Margaret Lambert.
The newly-elected Parent Teachers Association executive body, led by Rodrigues, has hit the ground running, as the body is currently working in the best interest of the children, teachers, and parents.
Regional Vice Chairperson Anansha Peters and Regional Councillors joined Rodrigues in handing over the sanitary pads to the Headteacher Karen Benjamin and other beneficiaries.
The PTA executive body and Headteacher Benjamin extended heartfelt gratitude to the First Lady for her initiative to end period poverty, and Orlando Rogers from Skywest Charter Service for sponsoring the air transportation.
