Fit again Joseph to play against Pakistan

─ 4 Jaguars players included

Subsequent to recovering from an injury picked up in Guyana Jaguars sixth round clash against Jamaica Scorpions, fast bowler and West Indies senior team prospect Keon Joseph will turn out for the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) President’s XI to play against the visiting Pakistanis in the three-day, tour match from Saturday, April 15 to Monday, April 17, at the Trelawny Multiplex in Florence Hall, Jamaica.

Shimron Hetmyer
Vishaul Singh
Raymon Reifer

He will be joined by three of his Guyana Jaguars teammates, batsmen Vishaul Singh and Shimron Hetmyer as well as all-rounder Raymon Reifer.
The Selection Panel of the WICB announced the squad, who will be led by Barbados Pride player Shamarh Brooks, on Monday. Singh act as his deputy.
Joseph has been bowling well in recent times capturing 24 wickets in six successive matches for Jaguars in the Digicel Regional Four Day Tournament. It is the first time he played six matches on a trot in a first class season and it came on the back of an encouraging tour with the West Indies A to Sri Lanka, where he collected eight wickets from three four-day ‘Test’ matches.
He is second on the list for fast bowlers this season, only behind his teammate Reifer, who has taken 30 wickets from eight matches. They are the lone quickies in the top ten for bowlers this season.

Keon Joseph

An outstanding performance in this match by Joseph could see his elevation to the senior team for the Test version of the Pakistani tour of the Caribbean.
The squad is as follows; Shamarh Brooks (Captain), Vishaul Singh (Vice Captain), Rahkeem Cornwall, Jahmar Hamilton, Shimron Hetmyer, Kyle Hope, Damion Jacobs, Keon Joseph, Kieran Powell, Raymon Reifer and Kemar Roach.
Team management; Graeme West (Head Coach), Dwain Gill (Team Operations Manager), Corey Collymore (Assistant Coach), Andre Coley (Assistant Coach), Khevyn Williams (Physiotherapist), Shayne Cooper (Strength & Conditioning Coordinator) and
Dexter Augustus (Data Video Analyst).
