The Guyana Fitness Games third anniversary GTM Health and Fitness Expo is set for November 11 and 12, 2017 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. The family-friendly event is geared to bring together hundreds of fitness enthusiasts from all around the country under one roof. Attendees will have a chance to, discover what’s available in health and wellness products and services, have access to free fitness classes, free health screening, witness live fitness competitions, and much more.
The Expo welcomes fitness and health enthusiasts, families, and anyone simply trying to make a first step towards getting healthy. Events and activities at the Health & Fitness Expo will include: Free Fitness Classes, Cancer Awareness Glow Walk, Zumba Glow Party, Fitness Challenges, Basketball Slam Dunk and 3 Point Shooting contests, a Strongman competition, Children’s Activities; among many other exciting events and exhibitions.
In addition to booths and exhibits covering both health and fitness, competitions and fitness workouts, the expo provides attendees with new tips to implement a healthier lifestyle. Attendees come from a broad spectrum of ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds with an interest in learning, experiencing, trying, signing-up and buying health-related products and services.
There will be three free fitness sessions available to the public with some of the best instructors in the business. You have the option of participation in one or all of the free 30min classes and come away feeling energized after a great workout.
Our popular Cancer Awareness Glow (night) walk, is a fun way to get in some cardio as well as give back. As part of the proceeds from the Night walk are donated to the Cancer Society.
The Zumba Queen Noshavyah King, will be there with her highly anticipated, Zumba dance fitness workout, choreographed to some of the best Soca, Latin and Reggae hit singles. Her high energy Zumba dance moves will help you tone and tighten your body without the use of weights or equipment. ?
Expo attendees will be there to cheer for all participants of the various competitions including the first ever Strongman competition to be held in Guyana, where some of the strongest men in Guyana will attempt to pull a heavy duty construction vehicle in addition to doing other super strength events.
