National dart champion Sudesh Fitzgerald on Friday evening proved that there is no mountain too high for him to climb as he overcame all challenges to be crown champion of the Trophy Stall Dart Tournament.
Played at the Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) Pavilion in front of dozens of dart lovers Fitzgerald first got past Marvin Yaw two games to one to secure a place in the final.
While in similar circumstances he once again overcame being tied at one all to win the finals two games to one against Christopher Fulton.
Earlier in the Men’s Singles- Christopher Fulton won 2/0 from Adrian Damon to move into the finals. Yaw loss to Fitzgerald in the second semis but won 2/0 over Damon to secure third place.
In the Women’s Singles category Jaswantie Hiralall – won with six points after taking two points from Mary Correia, leaving her and Melissa Smartt both with five points each which resulted in a tie breaker of which Correia secured her second position and Smartt got third.
Luck of the Draw – Adrian Damon and Fitzerald won 2/1 from Hemwattie Amyan and Anthony Chandro to secure their place in the final while Miguel Ramirez – Merlano and Melissa Smart won 2/1 from Mary Correia and Joseph Allen to enter into the final.
Amyan and Chandro won 2/1 to secure third place and Damon and Fitzgerald won 2/1 to secure the title from Ramirez-Merlano and Smartt.
