Floodlights stun Wellman in T20 Finals

Floodlights continued to wreak havoc on the softball scene after beating Wellman easily by 30 runs in the Finals of their Trophy Stall sponsored competition, played the Demerara Cricket Club Ground (DCC) on Sunday.
MVP Yunis Yusuf scored an even 50 as Floodlight made 121-9 in 20 overs with Anil Beharry supporting with 22. Jagdesh Persaud took 3-21 with Latchman Kallicharran supporting with 2-11 bolwing for Wellman.

Imitaz Mohamed, Robindra Singh and Beharrythen snapped up two wickets apiece to keep Wellman to 91-8 when their 20 overs expired. Nandram Samall was the top-scorer with 22 not out.
In the semi-finals played earlier, Floodlights advanced to the finals by netting Fishermen XI by 39 runs while Wellman disposed of Savage by 9 wickets to progress to the final round.
