Fly Jamaica cancels flight to JFK

Fly Jamaica airlines has announced the cancellation of its non-stop flights coming out and going into the John F Kennedy International (JFK) Airport.
The airline on Tuesday said as a result of a snow storm, it was forced to make the cancellation.
In a notice posted on its website, the airlines said as a result of inclement weather it will waive the charge and airfare for passengers who are scheduled to travel today.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday the New York Times reported that an unyielding winter is about to dump yet another major snowfall on the New York region, with forecasters projecting more than a foot of snow just as the calendar ticks toward spring.
Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Tuesday evening that all public schools in New York City would be closed today.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning, estimating that snowfall will likely begin early Wednesday and that total accumulations of 12 to 16 inches are expected.
“Travel will be very difficult to impossible, including during the evening commute on Wednesday,” the service wrote.
