A former Special Constable was on Wednesday last charged and jailed for being in possession of firearm and ammunition without being a licensed firearm holder.
Errol De Florimonte,43, was arrested on February 19, 2026, at Eccles, East Bank Demerara (EBD) but only made his appearance on Wednesday before Senior Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court. He pleaded guilty to both charges when they were read to him and was sentenced to one year each for both charges. The sentences will run concurrently.
