The Foreign Affairs Ministry Sports Promotion Tape Ball Competition is on today at the National Culture Centre Tarmac, starting from 09:00h.
According to a release, the event is part of the organisers’ “Fathers’ Day” treat and will have the Minister of Social Protection trophy, medals and $75,000 for the winning team.
The runners-up will receive $40,000 and a trophy, while there will be special prizes for the bowler with the most wickets in the final and the batsman with the most runs in the final.
The competition is open to all teams; however, national players cannot participate in this knockout event. The entrance fee per team is 10,000. Registration closes today and interested teams could reach James Lewis on telephone numbers 628-1656 or 666-5857 for more details.
