Foreign national arrested following discovery of ‘creepy’, cocaine in CI house
Based on intelligence received, ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) recently went to a home in the Cornelia Ida Housing Scheme, West Coast Demerara (WCD), and conducted a search thereof, during which a total of 518 brick-like parcels containing cannabis were discovered wrapped in transparent plastic, along with 12 brick-like parcels of cocaine.
Two foreign nationals who were at the premises were arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters, where the cannabis tested positive for “creepy”, an imported marijuana. They remain in custody as investigations continue.
