Former Barbadian Prime Minister Owen Arthur is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday night.

According to media reports out of Barbados, Arthur is in stable condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Arthur, who was the country’s longest-serving Prime Minister, retired from public life in 1998. Earlier this year, he was appointed Chairman of the financially-strapped LIAT airline.
Arthur was the Head of the Commonwealth Observer Mission to Guyana for the March 2, 2020 General and Regional Elections.
