Former beauty queen releases new album

Three-time national beauty pageant title holder Ruqayyah Boyer, who is no stranger to the stage and theatrical performances, recently released her third single titled “#1Love”. Her last single was “Sunshine” featuring former Carib Soca Monarch, Kwasi “Ace” Edmondson.
The unifying up-tempo pop fusion number was produced by the songstress and Brutal Tracks.
When asked about the song’s inspiration, Ruqayyah who also goes by the newly adopted stage name, “N-Dica” related that consideration was given to ongoing world issues as she penned the song.
Some of those issues included the war in Syria, the US election race and results, the war on religion, and the ethnic divide.
She stated that it was a daunting experience and as a result, she was inspired to pen a song which brought a positive light not just into her immediate space but the virtual and physical world at large.
She noted that some of the very people she had made lasting friendships with during her pageant contests and world travels were being affected by said plights.
When listening to the new single “#1Love”, one might be inclined to  get that “Where is the love” by Black Eye Peas vibe one minute and feel a bit of Michael Jackson’s themes of unity being morphed with a bit of dance fever catching on the next.
Then there is the tribal aspect that causes humans to stop and think about life and purpose for a minute. Overall, the message is a strong one of not giving up, rising against the challenges faced in life and living in love and unity similar to one of her icons, Bob Marley. The singer-songwriter, actress, model and entrepreneur can be found on Instagram, Soundcloud, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter as N-Dica or her full name Ruqayyah Boyer.  Also be sure to check out her other releases “You Don’t Own Me’’ and ‘’Sunshine’’. She is presently working on a few other singles in the near future along with a featured EP with fellow Producer, Simeon Browne before the end of 2017.
Works on her solo debut EP and Album will commence in 2018
