Former President escapes injury in minor WBD accident
A disaster was narrowly avoided on Sunday morning when former President Donald Ramotar emerged unhurt from a collision at Schoonard Public Road, West Bank Demerara.
The former Guyanese Head of State told Guyana Times that the accident occurred
at some time close to 9:00hrs on Sunday. Ramotar said he was travelling to Parika for a funeral when the accident happened. He was at the time travelling in a BMW Range Rover. The drivers of both vehicles were asked to report to the La Grange Police Station by police who showed up at the scene following the collision.
The former President said neither he nor his driver was hurt during the accident. (Samuel Sukhnandan)
