GBBFF concluding its first annual athletes and stakeholders’ outreach

The Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GBBFF) is wrapping up its first annual athletes and stakeholders’ outreach and registration.
For this year, six (6) outreaches and registration meetings have been done thus far in Linden on January 22nd and March 19th; in Berbice on January 29th and March 12th; and in Georgetown on February 12th and March 26th. The final athletes and stakeholders’ outreach and registration meeting will be held on the Essequibo Coast today, April 2nd, from 10am.

Upcoming events
The GBBFF will hold its Electoral AGM on April 17th at 2pm in the upper flat of the Fogarty’s Building on Water Street. The GBBFF has secured the date and venue for the Novice and Mr Linden contests of 2022, and the date will be released at that AGM.
The GBBFF has also secured the date and venue for the Intermediate contest of 2022 and the Mr Berbice contest. That date will be released at the said AGM.

CAC 2024
The GBBFF has received official permission from the Central America and Caribbean Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (CACBBFF) for Guyana to host CAC 2024.
The executive of the GBBFF has already commenced budgeting and logistics planning in regard to hosting of CAC 2024.

IFBB
The executive of the GBBFF has received official word from IFBB that Guyana’s bad debt from the early 2000s to 2021, totalling in excess of Gy$4M, will be erased, and Guyana will assume fresh payments from 2022.
For the year 2022, in terms of competitions held, Guyana sent Yannick Grimes and Lyndon Burnett to represent the Golden Arrowhead at the Giovanni Classic in Aruba on March 26th, 2022. Both athletes secured a bronze medal in their respective categories. The GBBFF hereby congratulates them both on their outstanding performance at that international competition.
