GBTI Corriverton Branch celebrates 25 years

…remains backbone to agriculture lending in Berbice

GBTI this week celebrates 25 years serving the Upper Corentyne Communities having opened its Corriverton branch on January 13, 1997.
“It’s been 25 years since we have first opened our doors to serving our customers of Corriverton and surrounding communities, and today we are just as delighted to continue our that service,” Branch Manager Ghoeblall Mahadeo said.
To mark the occasion, the bank acknowledged some of its first customers with mementoes of that occasion. Among them were Colin Nathoo and Mohamed Haleem.

Poornima Seepersaud, who assisted in cutting the ceremonial ribbon to commission the bank, reflecting on her relationship with the bank, says, “My fondness for GBTI has never wavered since I was younger. Being a part of the branch’s opening ceremony is a memory that I will continue to cherish. The level of excitement was immeasurable on that momentous day. GBTI Corriverton has provided exceptional service to myself and my family. The friendly, helpful, and courteous staff have solidified GBTI Corriverton as our preferred bank. The array of services provided by GBTI has been beneficial throughout my time attending university. I am confident that the bank will continue to serve the community and myself for another twenty-five years.”
