GCB 75th anniversary prayer breakfast set for Friday

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) will be hosting a prayer and breakfast gathering from 10:00h.
The Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) Pavilion will host the event, which is set to welcome the Board’s monumental anniversary celebrations. Friday’s activity will see a gathering of players, umpires, scorers, and other cricket officials.
Also, staff from the Department of Sport and other dignitaries are expected to grace the mini gala. The prayer session will pay homage to the three primary religions in Guyana: Hinduism Christianity and Islam, and will be facilitated by religious figures.
Meanwhile, the grand raffle drawing will take place on the last match day of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup tournament, set for November 18, 2018.
