GCB/Hand-in-Hand Inter-County tournament bowls off Wednesday

The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)/Hand-in-Hand Under-19, Inter-County three-day tournament will bowl off on Wednesday at the Wales and Enterprise grounds. The match at Wales will see the select national Under-17 team playing Demerara, while Berbice will face Essequibo at Enterprise.

In the second round, which starts on April 17, Demerara will challenge Berbice at Everest and the select XI will take on Essequibo at DCC.

The third and final round will commence on April 21 with Essequibo facing Demerara at GCC ground, Bourda, while Berbice will battle the select Under-17 at Wales

The 50-over version will then commence on April 25, and the first round will see Demerara clashing with Essequibo at Wales, and Berbice taking on the select Under-17 at Enterprise. The second round will be played on April 27 with Berbice will entertaining Demerara at Wales and Essequibo facing the select Under-17 at Everest.

In the third round, which will be contested on April 29, Demerara will take on the select Under-17 at GCC ground, Bourda, and Berbice will play Essequibo at DCC.

The top two teams will then clash in the final on May 1 at GCC ground, Bourda. Below are the four squads.

Berbice: Brandon Prashad (Captain), Adrian Sukwah (Vice-captain), Sasenarine Sookhoo, Trevon Ceasar, Joshua Harrichand, Ritesh Omroa, Matthew Hardial, Randy Wade, Joel Seitaram, Vevekanand Jagit, Asif Ally, Nickolas Seenarine, Raymond Vankenic, and Sylus Tyndall. The Manager is Julian Cambridge and the Coach is Delbert Hicks.

Essequibo: Keemo Paul (Captain), Sachin Persaud (Vice-captain), Akinie Adams, Looknauth Chinkoo, Siddiq Mohamed, Leslie Allen, Nathan  Persaud, Jonathan Fernandes, Travay Wolfe, Dwayne Thomas, Satesh Lachanana, Mark Williams, Reaz Khan, and Miguel Jones. The Manager is Nandkishure Andrews and the Coach is Forbes Daniels.
