Based on reports received, at about 14:30h on the day in question, the now dead man was driving his motorcycle bearing registration number CH 2111 when it is alleged that he lost control and collided with a metal sign.
Phillips, who was attached to the Coast Guard, was allegedly driving at a fast rate when the accident took place.
Due to the impact, Phillip was flung off the motorcycle and landed onto the roadway, thus sustaining severe head and bodily injuries.
He was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where he died while receiving medical attention.
Earlier in the month, 33-year-old Dexter Cole, a father of one of Dowding Street, Kitty, Georgetown, was killed after he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving along the Coverden Public Road, EBD.
It was reported that the now dead man and a few of his club members were heading to Georgetown but he raced ahead of the group and from all indications, the front wheel of the motorcycle fell into a hole, thus causing him to lose control.
As a result, he was flung off the motorcycle, into the air and eventually landed on the roadway.
The helmet he was wearing at the time was not properly strapped on and as he went into the air, it fell off. As he landed on the roadway, it is suspected that he would have suffered a broken neck.
