GECOM IT Officer, Mingo Assistant granted bail on fraud charges

Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) staffers Enrique Livan and Sheffern February were, this morning, both granted bail when they appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court charged with fraud.

Livan – an Information Technology Officer – was charged with one count of fraud in relation to the attempt to alter the results of the March 02 polls for District Four (Demerara – Mahaica). He was granted $150,000 bail.

Meanwhile, February was charged with conspiracy to commit fraud and placed on $300,000 bail.

Livan was the IT Officer involved in the infamous flash drive incident at GECOM Command Centre in the Ashmin’s Building at the corner of High and Hadfield Streets, Georgetown. February is said to be one of Returning Officer Clairmont Mingo’s assistants.
