Genuine Auto Spares Golf Tourney to tee-off this Saturday

The Lusignan Golf Club would yet again be hosting the highly-anticipated Genuine Auto Spares golf tournament this Saturday. The action will commence at 12:30pm, and the format of the game will be medal play over 18 holes.
The first edition of this tournament, hosted on May 15, 2021, had seen Mike Mangal emerging victorious, being able to win best net front nine with a hc 7 net 32 and overall best net – hc 7 gross 74 net 67.

Also recording victories in that tournament were the following persons: Eureka Giddings, best net back nine – hc 31 net 33; second – Jeetindra Dhanpat – hc 8 gross 80 net 72, and third – Brian Hackett – hc 18 gross 90 net 72. These players will be keen to make their mark in this 2022 edition.
Up for grabs would be prizes from 1st to 4th, overall best net, best net front and back 9, longest drive, and nearest to pin.
Speaking on behalf of the LGC, President Patanjilee Persaud said, “I’d like to thank Genuine Auto Spares. This is the second year they are sponsoring a golf tournament at the LGC. We’d like them to participate in activities around the club, as we have a very mature and prestigious club, as it is the only golf club in Guyana.

Persaud noted that the club is also planning to engage with children and other newcomers to the game. He has invited family members of the sponsors to come out and enjoy a fun-filled day in a safe and friendly environment at the LGC.

Presentation of prizes will be done shortly after completion of the game. Players are advised to contact the club to register. Registration closes at 17:00h (5 pm) on Friday, March 25, 2022. On the day of the tournament, players can uplift their scorecards, etc, and proceed to the allocated tee box and wait for the blast of the horn, which would signal commencement of the game.
All COVID-19 protocols would be in effect.
