The Georgetown Office Assistants Pool has organised two days of sporting activities for staff members and personnel from all Ministries and Government agencies, to be held on November 19 and November 20.
On Monday, November 19, at the Ministry of Agriculture, an exciting knockout domino competition will kick-start the host of activities from 17:30h. This domino competition will be a dub 20/20 four-game knockout affair, with winners taking away $80,000 and a trophy.
Second and third place achievers will also be rewarded, in addition to the individual who shares the most “loves” in the domino competition.
On Tuesday, November 20, a public holiday, there will be a knockout 6-over tape ball cricket competition played at the National Cultural Centre tarmac, starting at 9:00h. Players are kindly asked to bring their own bats.
A total of $150,000 in cash, besides trophies, would be on offer. For both competitions, both Ministries’ and Government Agencies’ teams have until Friday, November 16, to get registered to participate. No late registration would be accepted.
Several sponsorships have been coming in, and coordinator of the activities, James Lewis, related that more competitions may be added to the two days of sport activities.
