The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has begun the process of strengthening its financial management with a workshop for its Heads of Department and field staff on Thursday last.
The session, held in the Boardroom of the GFF Secretariat was facilitated by a representative of Vaughn Business Solutions, a financial company and GFF’s Financial Consultant.
According to GFF’s President, Wayne Forde, this is a first step towards improved financial management of the GFF. He said, “The aim of the programme is to strengthen the internal financial systems and controls of the GFF. The programme will be rolled out to members in the very near future.”
The new FIFA Forward Regulations of 2016 stipulates all Member Associations must streamline their financial operations in order to meet the FIFA compliance requirements.
