Coming off the heels of a successful inaugural camp this past July, the Guyana Girls Academy (GGA) has already set the dates for its next camp. January 2 to January 5, 2018 is the scheduled date for the camp in Georgetown, Guyana.
The inaugural camp saw over 40 girls attending over the course of three days. This next January camp will be expanded, opening up to girls, ages 7 to 13.
The GGA aims to add to its numbers and continue to grow the number of young girls playing football within the country. Registration for the camp will opened in September.
“The GGA was founded by American based coach Colin Wilson in 2016. It is a new football programme specifically for young Guyanese girls. The mission of the program is to train, develop, and educate young females to compete at a collegiate, professional, and international level as well as help ignite a strong women’s football culture that will continuously fuel the Guyana Women’s National program.”
