Girl, 15, allegedly raped by 21-year-old man

The Police are on the hunt for a 21-year-old man who allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl between July 7 and 16, 2021, in Region Nine (Upper Takata-Upper Essequibo).
Police stated that after the report was made, an investigation was launched and efforts are being made to arrest the suspect.
Only last week, a man was apprehended after a 16-year-old girl reported that he raped her in April at a store in Region Seven. As such, the Police had arrested the 25-year-old man who has been accused of the crime.
Police stated that the teen was at a store in Region Seven when she was approached by the suspect, who demanded that they have sex. After the teen refused, it was reported that the suspect persisted and then committed the act before escaping.
Also last week, a 32-year-old man was arrested in Region One (Barima-Waini) following allegations of sexual assault and rape against a 15-year-old.
Police had stated that after the matter was reported, the suspect was contacted, told of the allegation, arrested and placed in custody.
