Global Health Care Supplies makes contribution to RHTYSC
The outstanding work of Guyana’s leading youth and sports organisation, the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club, MS continues to attract support from corporate Guyana. The Club in 2016 has committed itself to promoting sports, culture and education as an alternative to a life of crime, violence and drugs for youths. The Club on Wednesday last received a donation of a carton of trophies from Global Health Care Supplies Inc of Third Street, Alberttown, Georgetown.
Secretary/CEO of the Club Hilbert Foster stated that with a projected 300 programmes planned for the year, the Club would need a large quantity of trophies. The donated trophies would be used by the cricket team of the RHTYSC, MS to host several educational and sporting projects. These includes an Outstanding teachers Programme at the New Amsterdam Secondary School, an inter primary school football competition and a inter secondary school basketball tournament. All of the programmes would be held under the Club’s Say No to Drugs, Suicide, Crime and Say Yes to Education, Life and Sports Programme which targets 60,000 youths in Berbice.
The 2010 National Sports Personality Awardee expressed gratitude to Global Health Care Supplies Inc and its Chief Executive Officer Mr. Deonarine Etwaroo for coming on board with the RHTYSC, MS and stated it was quite amazing the amount of activities that the Club undertakes every year with the support of donors. Stating that a donor recently praised the RHTYSC, MS ability to make every activity a success, Foster said that the Club would continue to uphold its high tradition.
CEO of Global Health Care Supplies INC, Deonarine Etwaroo expressed delight at joining force with the dynamic youth and sports organisation. He stated that the recently established company was committed to fulfilling its corporate responsibilities and was determined to contribute to a healthy Guyanese. Etwaru spoke of the importance of an educational background and involvement in sports for youths as they try to avoid the social ills affecting the Guyanese Society. He expressed confidence that all the programmes would be successful and would fulfil all of their objectives. All of the programmes would be organised with assistance of the Community Relations Department of the Guyana Police Force ‘B’ Division and the Region 6 Department of the Ministry of Education.
