Berbice is set to become the centre of Guyana’s drag racing action on Sunday, October 11, when the Berbice Drags Invasion 2026 takes over the Rose Hall Canje Airstrip.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00h and is expected to attract competitors and fans from across the country for a full day of high-speed racing.
The Rose Hall Canje Airstrip will host a competition featuring a range of performances and modified vehicles.

The Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) is organising the event, with ENet, Tropical Shipping, Castrol, GuyOil, and KFC among the sponsors.
Meanwhile, the GMR&SC will host a mandatory Competitors’ Meeting ahead of the Berbice Drags on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 18:00h.
The meeting will be held at the GMR&SC Office, Thomas Lands.
All registered competitors are strongly encouraged to attend, as important information regarding race procedures, safety, classes, staging, regulations and event-day arrangements will be discussed.
Driver registration closes October 8
Organisers are also reminding drivers that registration for the Berbice Drags Invasion closes on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
The registration fee is GY$20,000. Any registration received after the deadline will attract an additional GY$10,000 late fee, bringing the late registration cost to GY$30,000.
