GOGEC signs MoU with GO-Invest to strengthen business ties

The Guyana Oil and Gas Energy Chamber (GOGEC) along with the Guyana Office for Investment on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the objective of strengthening business ties between the agencies.
The agreement will also ensure business development: this includes timely access to incentives for the energy sector, and the promotion of joint ventures and partnerships between local and foreign investors.

Further, the MoU states that the mission of the Guyana Oil and Gas Energy Chamber is to ensure that there are equal opportunities for all operators and protentional operators within the industry and to promote trade, investment and knowledge transfer within the energy sector to all members and stakeholders.
Meanwhile, the mission of GO-Invest is to contribute to Guyana’s economic development by promoting and facilitating local and foreign private-sector investment and exports in accordance with the country’s approved investment and export strategies.
The MoU was inked by Luana Persaud, the Vice President of (GOGEC) and Dr Peter Ramsaroop, the Chief Executive Officer of Go-Invest.
