Golden Jaguars to be outfitted by Capelli Sport during Gold Cup tourney
The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has announced that it has entered a partnership with international sportswear and team-wear brand producers Capelli Sport, who now are exclusive suppliers of uniforms to the Golden Jaguars team as they represent the GFF at the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup tourney, which has begun and will run until July 7, 2019 in the USA.
This initial partnership has led to positive discussions regarding a long-term commitment between Capelli Sport and the GFF, and there are plans for additional exciting details to be released following conclusion of the 2019 CONCACAF Golf Cup Competition.
Capelli Sport was founded in 2011 by its president, George Altirs. Its mission is to provide sportswear of quality, functionality and design for high-level performance on the field. Altirs’s more than 30 years in the apparel, fashion and accessory business with parent company GMA Accessories has led to the creation of Capelli Sport.
The brand’s innovative world-class training gear, equipment and uniforms have yielded many global recreational youth club, and collegiate, semi-professional, professional and international level sports partnerships.
In eight years of operation, Capelli Sport has become the partner, and official outfitter, of a number of internationally recognised sporting organisations, professional clubs and international teams.
Currently, Capelli Sport distributes its world-class training gear and apparel in more than 25 countries worldwide.
The CONCACAF Gold Cup is a biennial tourney (held every two years) in which 16 nations participate, having qualified to so do through each of CONCACAF’s three sub-regions of North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
Guyana’s Golden Jaguars will make their first ever appearance in the Gold Cup competition this year, following qualification in March 2019. With a cohesive group in place, the team has made great strides in development of the sport, including this historic moment for the country.
On the national scale, the GFF is the premier football entity, and it works to promote football by providing educational, physical and total development initiatives among youth and adult programmes.
