Gonsalves Vs “Chop Chop” contract signing on today
Guyanese will be treated to one of the most exciting boxing cards of 2016 when local hero, Dexter Gonsolves matches gloves with American professional boxer, Demarcus “Chop Chop” Corley if all goes well at the contract signing today at Abdool and Abdool Insurance Brokerage, Avenue of the Republic, Georgetown.

Should everything go according to plan, August 27 is the date set for the bout at the Giftland Mall, Liliendaal, Greater Georgetown.

The promoters will also reveal the names of the other boxers to comprise the card but referee, Eion Jardine has assured that those boxers will be carefully selected to ensure an action packed card.
Gonsalves is most notably remembered for his fight against now Clive “The Punisher” Atwell where he won via 10th round Knockout adding to his 45 per cent knock out ratio.
The Guyanese has also featured in several fights regionally.
Corley, on the other hand, has had much more exposure in the international circuit with 44 wins, including 26 knockouts and 26 losses, his latest victim being Guyanese, Iwan Azore.
“Chop Chop” has also shared the ring with the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr, Darryl Tyson, Javier Garcia, Gabriel Bracero and Felix Flores.
